My husband and I...he has been eating what I eat since January and has lost 25 lbs! It is awesome to have his support.

Welcome to My Weight Loss Journey

Thanks for vising my page, I never thought I would put something like this up on the web. I am so grateful for finding BLE that I wanted to share it. And I hope sharing my story will help change a few more lives :)


My food journey started early. As a child I was addicted to sugar. I was a latch key kid and remember making sugary snacks every day after school, then eating a full dinner followed by dessert. I started dieting when I was 12. But looking at pictures of myself then, I wasn't fat. My mom was always on a diet, so I thought that was just what us girls did.

Throughout high school, I was a normal weight, but always wanted to drop 5-10 lbs...which never happened. In college I started to gain weight and for the next 20 years slowly inched up and out. I have tried every diet under the sun....seriously. 

I have spent thousands of dollars on diets, diet food/meals, diet books, online courses, gym memberships, personal training, injections, nutritionists, brain training and therapy. It was exhausting and I didn't understand why I was successful in every aspect of my life except my weight. 

I have been with my husband for 25 years, run a successful business, have wonderful friends, family and over all a pretty great life. However before BLE, I spent a TON of time thinking about food, planning when and what I would eat. Was I going to "be good" today, eat less because I ate and drank too much the night before? What time would my next meal be? I should probably eat a snack now since I worked out and won't eat dinner til later. You get the was a constant chatter in my head.

I put on a good show about being "healthy". I know more about nutrition than most since I have studied it forever. But in reality, I was eating fast food, all sort of sugar, flour and processed food. I went out to happy hours with clients and friends several times a week, drank 2-3 glasses of wine a day, and typically ate a giant pile of nachos an hour after dinner every night. I felt terrible. I wasn't sleeping, I had a ton of stress and anxiety and was on medications. I was so ashamed of my eating that I started hiding food. I used to have fast food binges several times a week, then hide the bags so my husband didn't see them. I was a mess and was looking into surgery or major therapy. 

5 months ago I was introduced to Bright Line Eating®. Dr. Susan Peirce Thompson's videos made so much sense to me. I loved the science, the honesty and her caring and supportive nature. During my boot camp I lost 20 lbs, (average weight loss during boot camp is 17 lbs, and some folks even lost a lot more) I went from a size 14-16 to a size 10. After the boot camp I continued on with the support of my BLE tribe. Since January, I have dropped 35 inches and currently wear a small top and size 6 pants. I am now a "Normal" on the BMI chart....yay! First time in 20 years! 

But the best part is the freedom of the addiction and food chatter that was constantly in my head. Being off all medications and sleeping like a baby are all bonuses! Please check out Susan's videos and see if BLE is right for you or someone you care about.
